Romantic Burgundy & Blush Wedding Flowers at Liverpool Town Hall
Jenni and Andy married at Liverpool Town Hall on 6 September 2025, in one of the city's most architecturally stunning wedding venues. Their personal florals, designed and created by Fustaq Florals, centred on a warm, romantic palette of deep burgundy, blush pink, café latte, and creamy neutrals, threaded through with fresh eucalyptus greens for a natural, organic finish.
This page documents the full personal floral design for Jenni and Andy's wedding: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes, wrist corsage, and flower girl posy.
The Design Brief: Warm, Earthy & Romantic
Jenni's brief was built around four words: warm, natural, earthy, romantic. She wanted florals that felt lush and layered against her bridesmaids' rich burgundy dresses, using a colour-blocking technique with deep burgundy roses in high contrast against pale blush and café latte tones, with textured accents from astrantia rosea, apricot lisianthus, and two varieties of eucalyptus.
Pink perfect orchids run through the design as a personal detail. Jenni is originally from Taiwan, and orchids were included to quietly honour that connection.
Jenni's Bridal Bouquet
Jenni's bridal bouquet features every flower in the design. The shape is softly rounded and organic, with varied stem lengths to give it a natural but refined finish. Stems are kept short and wrapped with ribbon.
The bouquet follows a colour-blocking technique: saturated burgundy blooms sit in contrast to the softer café latte and blush tones, while the pink orchid adds an elegant, unexpected focal point rooted in personal meaning.
Bridesmaid Bouquets
Four bridesmaid bouquets were designed to coordinate with, but not compete with, the bridal flowers. The palette deliberately shifts toward more blush and pale pink, creating visual contrast against the bridesmaids' burgundy dresses. The design is smaller in scale and more minimal in composition, keeping the focus on the bride while maintaining cohesion across the whole wedding party.
Buttonholes
The groomsmen's buttonholes bring the wedding palette to the lapel in a compact, well-balanced design. A burgundy spray rose anchors each buttonhole, with astrantia rosea, and seeded eucalyptus providing texture and contrast. Each buttonhole is finished with a ribbon in deep burgund, tied to coordinate with the individual's attire.
MOB and MOG Wrist Corsages
The MOB (mother of the bride) and MOG (mother of the groom) wrist corsages places the pink perfect orchid front and centre, supported by a burgundy spray rose, apricot lisianthus, and willow eucalyptus. It is constructed on a flexible metal bracelet shaped to fit the wearer's wrist. The orchid, chosen in honour of Jenni's Taiwanese heritage, appears in both the bridal bouquet and here, connecting the most personal pieces of the day.
Family Wrist Corsages
To honour family who had travelled from Taiwan, a set of ribbon-based wrist corsages were created as a "something special" for the day. Each corsage features a deep purple astrantia rosea as the focal flower, surrounded by softly ruffled apricot lisianthus and seeded eucalyptus, tying back directly to the wider wedding palette. Finished on a length of soft, raw-edged ribbon, they are a thoughtful and elegant gesture for the people who had come the furthest to be there.

FAQs
What flowers are used in a burgundy and blush wedding bouquet?
A burgundy and blush wedding bouquet typically combines deep red garden roses, café latte or quicksand roses for creamy contrast, pale pink spray roses, and textural elements like astrantia and lisianthus. Eucalyptus, both seeded and willow varieties, adds organic green movement. This is the exact flower selection used in Jenni's bridal bouquet for her Liverpool Town Hall wedding.
Can a Liverpool wedding florist include orchids in a bouquet?
Yes. Orchids work beautifully in romantic, structured bouquets. In Jenni's design, pink perfect orchids appear in the bridal bouquet and wrist corsage, chosen specifically to honour her Taiwanese heritage. Orchids add an elegant focal point and pair well with garden roses and lisianthus.
What style of bridal bouquet suits Liverpool Town Hall?
Liverpool Town Hall is a grand neoclassical venue with ornate interiors. Bouquets with a romantic, structured style, softly rounded with strong focal flowers and textured elements, complement the venue's architecture without competing with it. Colour-blocked arrangements in deep burgundy and blush are particularly suited to the venue's rich interior palette.
How should bridesmaid bouquets differ from the bridal bouquet?
Bridesmaid bouquets should coordinate with the bridal flowers without matching them exactly. A smaller scale, slightly adjusted palette, and a simpler composition all help keep visual focus on the bride.
